August on San Juan Island is brimming with diverse events, from arts and music to community fundraisers. The month kicks off with the San Juan Summer Arts Festival on August 9, followed by the Rotary Car Show on August 11. The San Juan County Fair, running from August 15 to 18, offers classic fair fun for all ages. Music enthusiasts can look forward to the Lakedale Music Festival on August 23, while the Team Heeb Softball Fundraiser on August 24 wraps up the month with community spirit. San Juan Summer Arts Festival

Rotary Car Show

The Rotary Club of the San Juan Islands invites you to the 16th Annual Rotary Car Show. Come for breakfast items, lunch BBQ, wine, live entertainment, AWARDS and FUN! Welcoming custom, classic, quirky and alternative fuel vehicles. $10 per participating car entry fee, opening 9:00 am to 10:30 am for registration and entrant parking. Free to public, donations welcome. Public Viewing from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Music Festival benefits the San Juan Islands School Music programs and Terry’s Kids, an organization that brings together children through music.

The success of the 2023 Team Heeb Softball Tournament fundraiser showed us that our collective efforts can make a significant impact. All the money raised at the 2024 Team Heeb-SJI Softball fundraiser goes to our nonprofit’s gift program to support cancer patients and their families in SJC, with a focus on SJI in 2024. As we continue to support families in SJC through partnerships, fundraising, community-based events, and education, we ask for your support to serve our families in need.
